Following the launch of Honda Brio, there was an increase in the Honda line-up in the country. The Honda Brio was launched in the year 2011 to compete against the hatchbacks back in the day. In spite of the smaller dimensions, this Honda car is known for its roomy cabin. With many of its competitors upgrading their cars, the Brio has been a slowpoke in the same.
However, after a span of 5 years, the car manufacturers decided to upgrade the Brio. Not many changes were made to the 1.20-litre four-cylinder 89bhp i-VTEC petrol engine, but the machine did get an interior as well as an exterior makeover. Generating 109Nm of torque, the petrol engine comes with a five-speed manual gearbox and a five-speed automatic transmission. The bumper of the car is similar to the Honda Amaze whole, the rest of the car remains the same except for the alloys.
The bigger change in the Brio was when the manufacturers decided to let go of the dated round-theme layout of the dashboard, one that was similar to the Amaze, City and the BR-V. This new black dashboard gives a really rich look to the car interior. The VX car model comes with dual airbags, ABS and EBD, automatic climate control and the height of the driver seat can be adjusted. It is notable that this new version comes sans the touchscreen infotainment system.
The new Honda Brio car price in India starts at INR 5-6.5 lakhs. However, a used Honda Brio car can cost somewhere around INR 2.5-4.5 lakhs depending upon the year of make and the condition of the car.
