Rolls-Royce founded in 1904 by Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce, headquartered in Goodwood, England, United Kingdom. Incorporated on 15th of March, Rolls-Royce Limited was incorporated as a vehicle for the ownership of Rolls-Royce business. BMW bought Rolls-Royce in 1988 and was a subsidiary since then. After which BMW was given the licence to the rights of Rolls-Royce brand name, brand logo from Rolls-Royce PLC and also attained the rights to the Rolls-Royce grill shape and Spirit of Ecstasy. Rolls Royce Motors came into existence in 1973 when its car business separated from Rolls Royce Limited.
Rolls-Royce was sold to Volkswagen which competing against BMW, and as Volkswagen offered a higher price, it won the bid. However, the engine was supplied by BMW and hence when BMW said it would not be supplying engines anymore, Volkswagen sold the company to BMW.
Rolls-Royce Ghost: Announced in 2006 and launched in 2010, the Rolls-Royce Ghost was a 4-door sedan. The Ghost is smaller than the Phantom and will also be positioned below the phantom in accordance with price. The Ghost series II was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show to the public on 4th March 2014. It was a facelift model with updated interiors and also equipped with LED headlights.
Rolls-Royce Wraith: On March 5th 2013, Rolls-Royce announced the Wraith at the Geneva Motor Show. This car was launched in the honour of the Wraith built by Rolls-Royce Limited from 1938 to 1939. This car had a sleek roof line and a long bonnet. It was made to be a luxury coupe and was a coupe version of the Ghost. Powered by a 623 bhp, twin-turbocharged V12 engine connected to an eight-speed gearbox. Rolls-Royce stated that the Wraith had the most powerful motor car to that date.
Rolls-Royce also had the Dawn which it launched in 2015 and announced the production of its SUV the Cullinan which Rolls-Royce claimed would set new luxury standards among cars of that segment. The Cullinan is set to roll out in 2017 as a 2018 model. The new Rolls Royce car models are quite expensive, however, you can even opt for Used Rolls Royce cars.
